Martin Paradis has over 20 years experience as an accountant in the accounting and finance areas.

Martin possesses a strong education in accounting acquired from his studies at Concordia University (BComm – Accountancy) and as evidenced by his good grades (G.P.A. 2.91). In February 1999, he completed and received his CMA designation. He has also obtained exemptions for both official languages (written, oral and comprehensive) and a security clearance.

He has spent over 15 years contracting, including the 16 preparing income tax returns. Martin has a solid and broad financial and managerial background that spans across several business sectors.

He has been gradually developing his practice since November 2006. He aims to establish himself as a solid & recognized provider of accounting and tax services in the industry.

Martin takes great pride in his work and the satisfaction of his clients is of the utmost importance to him. Despite the risks and long hours, Martin enjoys the independence, freedom and flexibility that come with exercising his own practice.

He is also an avid traveller, having lived and worked in Sydney, Australia, London, U.K., and Banff, Alberta. He has also travelled across 13 European countries, New Zealand, Fiji, Hawaii, Hong Kong, Japan, most American states (including Alaska), most countries in Central America and all Canadian provinces.

Community Involvement

Martin is extremely committed and devoted to the betterment of the community.

He is involved in volunteering activities for such organizations as the Operations Red Nose, Glebe Senior Center, Big Brothers Big Sisters Ottawa, Entraide Budgétaire (budgeting and tax preparation assistance for those with limited or no financial resources) and various other community organizations.

He is also very physically active and participates in numerous sporting activities, such as charity runs, skiing (Gatineau Loppet), Dragon Boat Festival – steerer, canoe club, biking club, volleyball tournaments and community hockey leagues. For the last 24 years Martin had participated annually in the Terry Fox Run, which is of great importance to him. He also wishes to encourage everyone to participate in this worthy and important cause.
